The weather department has again forecast light rain in the hilly areas on Thursday. Whereas, there are chances of light showers with thunder and lightning in the plains including Dehradun. A yellow alert has been issued for lightning in some places.

There was a slight fog in Dehradun on Wednesday morning, however, the sun shone brightly in the afternoon and a mild heat was felt. The temperature of Doon also reached around 26 degrees Celsius during the day, which is six degrees Celsius more than normal. Apart from this, it is the highest so far this year. At the same time, the maximum temperature in the mountainous regions also remains much higher than normal. However, the chill remains in the morning and evening.

Today the weather pattern changed in the state

According to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, the weather pattern in the state may remain changed today due to the activity of the fresh western disturbance. There are chances of partly cloudy weather from the mountains to the plains.

Light to moderate rain may occur at some places in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri, Almora and Nainital. Apart from this, a warning has been issued for lightning along with thunder in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar. Dailymintz
