State Wise Weather Updates: The severe cold continues to wreak havoc in North India. Temperatures have reached minus in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of cold wave and rain in the next three days. There is a possibility of snowfall in Himachal and Jammu-Kashmir. The Himachal government has issued an advisory to protect from the cold.

New Delhi. The northern states of the country are experiencing severe cold. The temperature continues to fall. In some cities of Haryana and Himachal, the temperature has reached zero degrees Celsius, while in Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand, the mercury has reached minus 4 degrees Celsius.

Cold is breaking records in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. According to the weather department, Hisar in Haryana was the coldest in the plains. Temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius have been recorded in five cities of Rajasthan. Temperatures will fall further on Saturday and Sunday. A severe cold wave will also prevail. There will also be rain in some states.

Delhi: Temperatures reach minus 1°C

Delhi is also experiencing freezing cold. Minimum temperature has dropped during the last 24 hours. On Friday morning at 8:30, the temperature in Safdarjung and Ridge area dropped by 1 degree Celsius. The mercury will fall in the coming days as well.

Rajasthan: Temperature will fall by 3 degrees

In the last 24 hours, temperatures below 4 degrees Celsius were recorded in five cities of the state. The temperature was recorded at 1.3° in Karauli, 2.0° in Mount Abu, 2.2° in Fatehpur, 3.3° in Sangaria and 3.5° in Churu.

Ice frozen in leaves is seen in many places including Sikar and Jhunjhunu. The Meteorological Department says that severe cold wave will continue for the next two days.
FOG in rajasthan

According to the Meteorological Department, after the rain in the last week of December, an alert has been issued for severe cold. On 26-27 December, thunderstorms are expected in some parts of Ajmer, Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions. The minimum temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Himachal: Government issued advisory

Cold wave continues in the state. According to IMD, snowfall may occur on the high peaks of Lahaul Spiti, Kullu and Chamba on 23 December. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Hamirpur, Mandi, Una and Bilaspur and a yellow alert for Kullu, Chamba and Kangra.

In view of the IMD warning, the state government has issued an advisory for local people and tourists. It has advised to go out of the house only when absolutely necessary during the cold morning and evening, wear warm thick clothes, eat fruits containing vitamin-C and take care of the elderly and sick people. It also said that if black spots appear on the body, then immediately go to the doctor.

In many parts of Jammu and Kashmir, the temperature has been recorded as low as minus 9 degrees Celsius. Rivers and waterfalls have started freezing at many places. In Srinagar, the temperature has been recorded as low as minus 6 degrees Celsius. Cold wave will continue in the valley. Light snowfall is also expected on the evening of 27 December and the morning of 28 December.

Madhya Pradesh: Temperature will rise by 3 degrees

Madhya Pradesh is currently experiencing severe cold. Temperatures below 8 degrees Celsius were recorded in more than 12 cities. The lowest temperature here today was 3.3 degrees Celsius.

Gaziabad

According to the weather department, the temperature in Madhya Pradesh may rise by 3 degrees Celsius in the next three-four days. There will be fog in Sagar, Chambal and Gwalior. This means that people of Madhya Pradesh will get relief from cold.
