Maharashtra Politics: When the security of Shinde's MLAs decreased, the rift in the Mahayuti increased! Political stir intensified
All does not seem to be well in the Mahayuti alliance government in Maharashtra. Recently, the Home Department of Maharashtra has reduced the security of 20 Shiv Sena MLAs who are part of the ruling alliance. This incident is being linked to the cold war going on between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. However, in the meantime, no reaction has come from the government yet.
Less than three months after the landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, a rift is being seen within the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance. This is because the 'Y' security of MLAs of all parties has been removed or reduced. This has caused resentment among the leaders of the Shinde faction.
In fact, the Home Department of Maharashtra has reduced the security of 20 Shiv Sena MLAs who are part of the ruling coalition. This development is being linked to the ongoing cold war between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Security of these MLAs was withdrawn
The security of 20 Shiv Sena MLAs and some MLAs from BJP and NCP (Ajit Pawar) has been reduced. These MLAs were earlier provided with Y category security. This has been reduced to just one constable.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is in charge of the Home Ministry, has admitted that the security of some MLAs has been reduced based on the report of the committee reviewing the threats in the Home Department. But the reduction in security is being linked in political circles to the cold war going on between the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. But there has been no reaction from any of the ruling parties in this regard.
distance seen before
It is said that Eknath Shinde is still angry over the unresolved issue of being denied the post of Chief Minister and the appointment of guardian ministers of Raigad and Nashik. Recently, he was also included in the State Disaster Management Authority by amending the rules. This is because he was unhappy at being kept out of it.
As Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis heads the authority. NCP chief Ajit Pawar was already a part of it. Last week, the Cabinet changed the rules of the panel to include the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Dailymintz
