Indian team's all-rounder Akshar Patel made such a childish mistake in the third ODI match being played against England in Ahmedabad that Team India suffered a big loss. Akshar is currently in the news for his batting but he did such a thing with his fielding that everyone was surprised and everyone started laughing at him.

Indian team's all-rounder Akshar Patel is in the news these days. The reason for this is the new role he has got and his strong batting in it. Akshar is batting above his fixed number and is also scoring runs. However, this left-handed player made such a childish mistake in the third ODI against England on Wednesday that everyone started laughing at him.

Akshar played an innings of 13 runs in 12 balls in the third match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, he failed in batting and in fielding he did something that even the coaching staff of England started laughing.

Delay in throwing

Actually, the 13th over of England's innings was going on. This over was being bowled by Hardik Pandya. Joe Root played the last ball of the over towards the gully where Akshar Patel was standing. After playing the ball, Root wanted to take a run, but Tom Benton standing at the other end refused. Root was going back comfortably even though he was far from the crease. Akshar saw Root outside and threw the ball. This throw did not hit the wicket and went very close.

If you look at it, Akshar had a chance to run fast and hit the ball on the stumps, but he could not do so. Seeing this miss, not only Pandya and Rahul laughed but England's assistant coach Paul Collingwood, sitting in the dressing room, also started laughing.

Gill's century

In this match, India batted first and scored 356 runs in 50 overs. The century of the team's vice-captain Shubman Gill played an important role in reaching this stage. Gill played an innings of 112 runs with the help of 14 fours and three sixes in 102 balls. He was supported by Shreyas Iyer who scored 78 runs in 64 balls. Virat Kohli also returned to form in this match and played an innings of 52 runs in 55 balls.

India won the match by 142 runs, which is their second-biggest win ever against England in ODIs. Dailymintz
