 New Delhi . Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has said that every player playing international cricket should play domestic cricket. He said this during a program organized here during the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

When asked about Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli playing domestic cricket, Yuvraj said, "Every player should play domestic cricket. This benefits players struggling with poor form and improves their international performance."

On ignoring players like Abhimanyu Easwaran and Karun Nair who have performed well in domestic cricket, Yuvraj said, "Look, I am not a selector. But it would be wrong to say that those who perform well in domestic cricket do not get a chance."

He further said, "For example, Sarfaraz Khan performed consistently well in domestic cricket and got a place in the national team. Players who work hard at the domestic level get a chance. As far as Karun and Abhimanyu are concerned, I am sure they will also get a place in the national team."

Key points about CCL

Under this season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), matches will also be played in the capital Delhi. Yuvraj Singh said that this time two matches of CCL will be held in Delhi. He informed that the second match of CCL starting from 18th February will be played on 19th February at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
