Bad start for England
England, who came to bat first, had a bad start. In the second over itself, Hardik Pandya made Phil Salt his victim. Salt scored 5 runs off 7 balls. After this, there was a partnership of 76 runs for the second wicket between Ben Duckett and captain Jos Butler. Varun Chakraborty broke this partnership on the last ball of the 9th over. Butler scored 24 runs off 22 balls.
Duckett scored 51 runs
In the very next over, Akshar Patel took the wicket of Ben Duckett. Duckett scored 51 runs in 28 balls. After this, Harry Brook scored 8 runs, Jamie Smith scored 6 runs. Jamie Overton returned to the pavilion on a golden duck.
