Champions Trophy 2025: 8 years of wait will end, four teams have announced their team; Squads of 4 countries are yet to be announced
Most of the teams have been announced for the Champions Trophy 2025. The ICC had declared 12 January as the deadline for this. However, the Indian team has not been announced yet. The BCCI had sought time from the ICC for this. Now the news has come that the Indian team may be announced on January 19. Four teams have announced their squads.
New Delhi. After a long wait of eight years, the ICC Champions Trophy will be organized once again. The last Champions Trophy was played in 2017. Pakistan will take on host New Zealand in the opening match on February 19. In the tournament, eight teams will play 15 matches in 19 days.
There are only 38 days left for the tournament to officially begin and the deadline for all teams to submit provisional team lists to the ICC is fast approaching. So far, only four teams have officially announced their squads. These include England, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
The deadline for submitting team lists to the ICC is February 13. Fans of the remaining four teams can expect their cricket boards to announce their official squads within a week or two.
